The admission fees and annual subscription rates were previously set out as an appendix to the Rules but, with the amendments to the Rules approved in 1997 and brought into force in 1998, the admission fees and annual subscription rates are "as prescribed by the Council and approved by the Institute at an Annual General Meeting". The Council has prescribed the latest rates (that were approved at the Annual General Meeting in 1999) in these By-Laws.
The New (2009) current rates of admission fees and annual subscriptions are set out below:
Admission Fees (all categories) $FJ 60.00 + vat = FJ$69.00
Annual Subscriptions
Chartered Accountants with a certificate of public practice $F 350.00 + vat = FJ$ 402.50
Chartered Accountants - $FJ 225.00 + vat = FJ$ 258.75
Provisional Members - $FJ 125.00 + vat = FJ$ 143.75
Affiliate Accountants - $FJ 100.00 + vat = FJ$ 115.00
Licensed Accountants - $FJ 110.00 + vat = FJ$ 126.50
Students - $FJ 10.00 + vat = FJ$11.50
Overseas Members (all categories) - $FJ 70.00 + vat = FJ$80.50
Under Rule 9 (2), annual subscriptions are due on 1st January and payable by 31st January by all members.
